Matthew P. Martin was born in the small town of La Grande, Oregon. His family moved when he was 3 to the much smaller village of Long Creek where he grew up and was able to enjoy success both academically and athletically. Matthew graduated valedictorian, volunteered for the local ambulance crew, attended the State golf championship, and was MVP of his basketball team.

Growing up in Eastern Oregon, Matthew enjoyed fishing, hunting and cutting fire wood with his father. After moving to the west side to attend college, Matthew experienced the culture shock of the “big city” of Corvallis where he attended Oregon State University. Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in General Science (pre-dentistry) graduating Summa Cum Laude. During his summers while at Oregon State, he worked as a wild land fire suppression specialist for the Oregon Department of Forestry. Following his graduation, he attended dental school at Oregon Health and Science University where he was trained in the latest aspects of evidence based dentistry, oral health education and research.

During his spare time, Matthew is an aspiring author and loves to be outdoors, at the coast, snowboarding, golfing, or playing virtually any other sport besides soccer. He especially loves to spend time with his girlfriend, Linna and their plant child, a Zanzibar aloe named Spike.

Dr. Martin places patient satisfaction and quality dental care at the top of his priorities. He strives to make you as comfortable as possible during your visit and plans to exceed your expectations of dental care.
